Those are two things that I keep an eye out for in grocery ads. I read that there was a shortage of pumpkins this year due to all the weather, so when I saw a can for $2.49 last month, I snapped it up. Also found the EB milk this summer at a small Mexican grocery for half the price of the big chain stores. Yeah, I did almost mention the cupcake craze...that got a little extreme didn't it? ;)Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09562443495196867143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405818353939520144.post-59287174636682883932011-10-25T09:41:54.902-07:002011-10-25T09:41:54.902-07:00A few months ago when we were eating nothing but P...A few months ago when we were eating nothing but PB toast and eggs, I had all the ingredients in the cupboard/freezer for a pumpkin pie -- except for one. I wanted a dessert so bad, but the price for that one ingredient I had to buy would get us a loaf of cheap bread. I finally gave in and made the pie. Best pie ever. But now I'm not craving it at all (and it's usually a staple at the holidays).

Oh! And I totally love how you picked up on the ingredient "blog star." It was especially fun to watch when everyone thought they discovered the CUPCAKE a while back. ;-)BellaKarmahttp://www.bellakarma.comnoreply@blogger.com
